We look forward to welcoming all our junior members to another great season of cricket at Radyr CC. Over the winter we have been busy preparing for the season ahead and would like to take this opportunity to update you all on the various personnel changes that have taken place.
Youth Chairman – Trevor Thompson
A member with Radyr CC for many years as a player and junior coach but following retirement has kindly agreed to take on the role of Youth Chairman. In this role he will oversee the running of the junior section and should you wish to discuss any matters with him he is contactable on email firstname.lastname@example.org
Head Coach – Carl Norman
Carl has also been a member of Radyr CC for many years as a player, coach and parent. Carl has an extensive knowledge of cricket and in his role as Head Coach will oversee all the age groups and work alongside our Lead Coaches to ensure we are able to offer another year of great cricket for all children registered at Radyr CC. Carl is contactable on email email@example.com
Following guidance from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) our Lead Coaches will be assisted throughout the season by other available Coaches and Coach Support Workers. This is a slightly different approach to one we have used previously but should ensure better adult – child ratios at training sessions and on match days.
Our Lead Coaches for the 2018 season are
U15s Ben O’Neil email: firstname.lastname@example.org Tel: 07803712163
U13s Nick Cook email: email@example.com Tel: 07462467782

As a club we will once again be utilising the flexibility offered by Cardiff & The Vale league which allows all girls to play down a year. This will mean that girls from year 7 will be able to play games in the U11 league and year 9 in the U13 league. The coaches will liaise with each other throughout the season and in line with each players individual cricket development will offer games at the appropriate level for your child.
